Garden Progress

Here is what our garden looks like after a month or so. Our corn is coming up nicely over on the four left rows, then the row of tomatoes. The bushy things on the right are potatoes. If you've never had a potato the day it is dug from the ground, come and see us to get some because they are incredible! We've been eating peas and spinach, and now our chard is ready. Has anyone tried to freeze spinach?

Sheila and Karen visit on my birthday!

Sheila and Karen are both sweet and very cute. Abe likes them a lot. My birthday was an incredible day. Sandra knows how to make me feel important. For breakfast she made one of my favorites, ham scrambled eggs. We went to the Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District and strolled around their gardens. They have some beautiful plants and it's free of charge. We were going to go to a Thai restaurant (Probably my favorite type of restaurant), but it was closed at the time we went around 3:00 pm so we headed over to Draper and ate at Cafe Trang. I think their food is always great. We topped it off with a jamba juice. Sandra gave me a pair of muck garden shoes and the CD "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing-American Folk Hymns and Spirituals." I love it. Sandra also made my favorite kind of cake. It's a yellow cake with chocolate iceing. (sp) Thanks for all the birthday wishes from everyone. I love you all.

Abe is growing like a weed!!!!

As you can see from the pictures, Abe is changing and growing like a weed. On Monday last, Abe rolled from his stomach to his back. It was a momentous occasion. What next? Crawling I'm sure, and then he will be into everything. I'm not looking forward to that, yet I am looking forward to it. This rain that we're getting is incredible. This is more rain than I have seen in years, it seems. It's good for the garden. I'm excited to see the sun again though.
